About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a Veterinary Technician in our Oncology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of veterinary medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee appointments and manage client relationships throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
- Utilize various imaging modalities for patient and procedural assessment.
- Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.
- Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients, advocating for their well-being during hospitalization.
- Maintain all equipment on a per-use basis, ensuring the safety and best practice care of all patients.
- Knowledge and preparation of various chemotherapeutic agents are preferred, with additional on-site training provided.
- Provide extensive client communication and education on various oncology disease processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required for Veterinary Assistants.
- RVT or VTS preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commit to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
- Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
