Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Per Diem Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of the veterinary profession.
About the Job:As a Per Diem Veterinary Technician in our Oncology department, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing appointments and managing client relationships throughout their visit.
- Collaborating with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Collecting and processing laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
- Utilizing various imaging modalities for patient and procedural assessment.
- Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.
- Providing empathetic and compassionate care to all patients, advocating for their needs during hospitalization.
- Maintaining equipment on a per-use basis to ensure patient safety and best practice care.
- Administering various chemotherapeutic agents and providing education on oncology disease processes to clients.
Schedule: Part-time
About You:We are looking for a candidate with:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting, with recent graduates considered.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring.
- Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques.
- RVT or VTS certification preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Current CA RVT license or VACSP required.
- Availability to work at least 1-2 holidays or company events per year.

Compensation:
Non-credentialed VACSP: $18 - $23/hr
Credentialed technicians: $25-35/hr
VTS technicians: $31-40/hr
