Veterinary Oncology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a Veterinary Technician in our Oncology department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of the veterinary profession.
Responsibilities- Oversee appointments and manage clients throughout their visit, ensuring a positive and compassionate experience.
- Participate with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures, utilizing your expertise to provide the highest level of care.
- Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates, to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Utilize various imaging modalities to assess patients and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients, serving as a strong patient advocate during hospitalization.
- Maintain all equipment on a per-use basis, ensuring the safety and best practice care of all patients.
- Knowledge of chemotherapeutic agents is preferred, with additional training provided as needed.
- Provide extensive client communication and education on various oncology disease processes, empowering clients to make informed decisions.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting. RVT or VTS certification is preferred, but not required. You must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
