Veterinary Oncology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of the veterinary profession.
Responsibilities- Oversee appointments and manage client interactions throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
- Utilize various imaging modalities for patient and procedural assessment.
- Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events.
- Provide empathetic, comfortable, and exceptional nursing care to patients, advocating for their well-being during hospitalization.
- Maintain equipment on a per-use basis to ensure patient safety and best practice care.
- Possess knowledge and preparation for administering chemotherapeutic agents (additional on-site training provided).
- Communicate extensively with clients regarding oncology disease processes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting (Veterinary Technicians).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting (Veterinary Assistants).
- RVT or VTS preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Monday - Friday, 4/10 hour shifts with no weekends.
