Key Responsibilities- Deliver radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by radiation oncologists, ensuring accurate and safe administration.
- Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance activities on equipment, maintaining a high level of technical proficiency.
- Manage departmental supplies, ensuring adequate inventory and minimizing waste.
- Provide patient education, promoting compliance with treatment plans and addressing patient concerns.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment, reporting any adverse reactions or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with the Senior Radiation Therapist to develop new techniques and resolve clinical problems.
- Participate in quality assurance programs, ensuring high standards of patient care and treatment delivery.
- Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiation Therapy or equivalent.
- Active certification by the ARRT (Radiation Therapy) and valid Massachusetts license in Radiation Therapy.
- Minimum three years of experience as a Staff Radiation Therapist, preferably in a similar setting.
- Strong technical knowledge and skill set, including proficiency in Radiation Oncology IS systems and software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
