Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Brigham & Women's Hospital (BWH). As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Radiation Therapy Treatment: Under the direction of the Chief Radiation Therapist and Lead Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
- Maintain Equipment and Supplies: You will perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks for the equipment and maintain the inventory of department supplies.
- Provide Patient Care and Education: You will be responsible for daily patient care and education, involving patients and their families in care and care decisions, and maintaining patient confidentiality and modesty.
- Administer Radiation Therapy Treatment: You will administer radiation therapy treatment accurately and safely, monitoring patient's physical and physiological response and reactions to treatment.
- Document Treatment Information: You will accurately document all treatment delivery information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Therapy: You must have a valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Therapy.
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy: You must obtain ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy within 3 months of employment.
- BLS Certification: You must have valid BLS certification.
