Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $93,500 - $123,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing holistic care to patients in critical condition, utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to organizational policies and regulatory standards. Your expertise will be guided by a sound knowledge base and understanding of nursing theories and science.

You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure positive patient outcomes, ongoing professional growth, and development, and contribute to the advancement of clinical excellence. Effective communication and delegation skills are essential for this role, as you will be responsible for leading the nursing care team and delegating tasks to patient care techs, licensed practical nurses, unit secretaries, and students.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Kentucky Nursing license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing / Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Completion and maintenance of BLS
  • ACLS within 3 months of hire
  • PALS within 6 months of hire
  • Successful completion of all competencies as identified on the departmental nurse competency grid
