Job Summary

As a Technical Support Specialist for IT Systems at Holland America/Princess Alaska-Yukon Land Operations, you will be responsible for evaluating and resolving user hardware and software problems. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and applications software. You will also be responsible for installing PCs, printers, software, and terminals, as well as coordinating vendor-provided repairs and maintenance. Additionally, you will maintain inventory of computer hardware and assist with departmental projects as required by departmental supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and resolve user hardware and software problems.
  • Install PCs, printers, software, and terminals.
  • Coordinate vendor-provided repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of computer hardware.
  • Assist with departmental projects as required.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in the computer field.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in networked environments.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Participate in HAP's sustainability program and efforts to reduce waste and educate guests about our commitment to the environment.
  • Participate in HAP's safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
