Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Manage a team of transportation managers and coordinators to ensure seamless operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational issues
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize transportation operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation operations or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices

Work Environment

This role will require occasional travel and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Travel: 10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.

Education/Training: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
