Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and delivery operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement transportation strategies to achieve business objectives
- Manage a team of transportation managers and drivers to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of transportation operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation services
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation operations management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Experience with transportation management systems and software

This role requires 10% travel, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a college degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation operations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, driving, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate will be able to perform these tasks for extended periods and have a strong attention to detail.
