Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role will be responsible for leading the Transportation department, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Transportation department, overseeing the management of drivers, transportation personnel, and logistics operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve safety, service, and cost targets within the department.
- Collaborate with the VP Operations to analyze daily performance measures, identify areas for improvement, and recommend changes to optimize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal DOT regulations, as well as other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety, service, and quality within the department.
- Minimum of five years of experience in transportation/delivery supervision.
- Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods, and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
This role will require occasional travel, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the physical activities required for the job, including standing, walking, driving, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
