Transportation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage a team of transportation personnel, including drivers, dispatchers, and clerks
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOT and OSHA
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation supervision
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $120,000
- Annual incentive plan bonus

This role will require occasional travel, typically for mandatory meetings and training. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with frequent communication with drivers and other stakeholders.
Physical QualificationsThe Transportation Operations Manager will be required to perform the following physical activities for the described length of time:
- Stand: Occasionally
- Walk: Occasionally
- Drive Vehicle: Occasionally
- Sit: Occasionally
The ideal candidate will be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and be able to climb, balance, stoop, squat, bend, and reach above shoulder level.
