Position Overview: The Accounting Clerk role encompasses a multifaceted set of responsibilities, requiring a solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intricate billing procedures that differ across various programs and employer groups.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, validate, and maintain financial records specific to client programs for the Taft Hartley Fund.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all financial accounts.
  • Process payments and gather necessary statements from online platforms.
  • Address and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Manage all financial transactions related to participant accounts.
  • Identify and rectify errors in invoices and data.
  • Reconcile funding with disbursements for each participant account.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reports.
  • Generate various financial, programmatic, and administrative reports.
  • Investigate discrepancies in financial records.
  • Conduct routine audits of financial accounts.
  • Foster positive working relationships with office staff, clients, and senior executives.
  • Prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • May initiate new procedures within program or business systems.
  • Manage multiple tasks and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Ability to report to the office as required.
  • Contribute to the development of financial components in our database.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
  • Experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in finance, including accounts payable or accounts receivable.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Demonstrated independence in work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.
