Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Red Mile Inc. As a key member of our banking and finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counting and Verifying Funds: Accurately count, verify, and document all monies in and out of the main bank, cash cage, slot attendants, auxiliary outlets, and special events.
  • Preparing Bank Deposits: Prepare and process all bank deposits, prepare all increases and exchanges.
  • Consolidating Transactions: Consolidate transactions on a per-shift basis and prepare cash summary reports for each shift.
  • Handling Financial Transactions: Handle all financial transactions between the Main Bank and the cashiers.
  • Maintaining Funds Levels: Maintain the appropriate level of funds at the cage location.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Cash Handling Experience: Previous cash handling experience is required.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to ensure proper payouts are being paid out correctly.
  • Computer Skills: Must possess intermediate PC skills, spreadsheets, internet, and e-mail.
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level is moderate. The employee will be required to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time. Candidate must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Employee must have excellent dexterity of hands and fingers to use computers and handle vouchers, cash, and cash equivalents. Employee is required to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. Employee must be able to talk and hear to ensure proper communication. This job requires strong vision skills, including close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
