Position Overview: The Accounting Clerk position encompasses a multifaceted role that necessitates proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intricate billing procedures that differ across various programs and employer groups.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time role (40 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, verify, and maintain financial and related records pertinent to client-specific programs for Taft Hartley Fund
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all accounts
  • Process payments and obtain necessary statements from online platforms
  • Address financial discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Manage all financial transactions related to participant accounts
  • Identify and rectify errors in invoices/data
  • Reconcile funding with disbursements for each participant account
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports
  • Generate various financial, programmatic, and administrative reports
  • Investigate discrepancies thoroughly
  • Conduct routine audits of financial accounts
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with office staff, clients, and senior executives
  • Prioritize tasks and work independently
  • May initiate new procedures within program/business systems
  • Manage multiple tasks and follow up on outstanding items
  • Report to the office as required
  • Contribute to the development of financial components within our database
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in finance, including accounts payable or accounts receivable
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to function effectively as a team member
