A Career in Financial Operations

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team at UnitedHealthcare. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies
  • Process payments and retrieve statements from websites
  • Communicate financial discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Assist with completion of quarterly reporting
  • Prepare financial, programmatic, and administrative reports
  • Investigate discrepancies and perform routine audits
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with office staff, clients, and senior executive staff
  • Prioritize and work independently
  • May initiate new procedures in program/business systems
  • Handle multiple tasks and follow up on items
  • Ability to report to the office
  • Help to guide development of financial elements to our database

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years' experience in finance, including accounts payable or accounts receivable
  • Proven effective organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Solid interpersonal skills with ability to function as a positive team member
  • Willing to learn
