Key Responsibilities:
Lead business development initiatives to identify, assess, and establish long-term contractual relationships with clients while maintaining connections with senior stakeholders.
Strategize and negotiate intricate, multi-year logistics and warehousing contracts.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales operations, marketing, solution engineering, and operations, to ensure that partnerships align with our overall strategic objectives.
Identify emerging market opportunities and devise strategies to cultivate new relationships that generate revenue or support revenue generation for other sales personnel within the organization.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, leveraging insights to refine business development strategies.Represent the organization at industry events and conferences, engaging with stakeholders to enhance the company's brand and reputation.
Develop, oversee, and deliver regular updates on the status and performance of partnerships and their contributions to the organization.
Qualifications for Success:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional or military experience.
10 years of experience in business development or sales within contract logistics or distribution.
Proven executive-level sales leadership experience.
Success in selling third-party logistics services.
Ability to manage a diverse sales pipeline and multiple business development proposals.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with partners and attend industry trade events.
Experience and connections within the Consumer/Supply Chain sector, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing client partnerships.
Strong time management and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting clear, organized, and comprehensive information tailored to the intended audience.
