Job Responsibilities:

The Lead Property Risk Analyst will be tasked with:

  • Evaluating risk selection and making informed decisions on pricing, retention, and profitability for both new business and renewals.
  • Assessing coverage and limit requests, determining appropriate terms to offer, and pricing in alignment with company standards.
  • Utilizing independent judgment and initiative to align with business objectives.
  • Upholding underwriting discipline while adhering to the established bottom-line philosophy.
  • Operating within designated authority and seeking necessary approvals.
  • Documenting files thoroughly to reflect a comprehensive underwriting rationale.
  • Verifying claims data from previous years.
  • Evaluating risk quality and ensuring compliance with company guidelines, initiating necessary loss prevention measures.
  • Building and nurturing effective relationships with clients to attract and retain profitable business.
  • Arranging reinsurance in accordance with corporate policies.

Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in Property Underwriting.
  • Experience collaborating with wholesale brokers.
  • Strong technical and marketing acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market and regulatory landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred; ARM and CPCU designations are advantageous.

Position Location:

This role is open to remote candidates within the Mid Atlantic Region.
