POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Inventory Manager for Finished Goods, the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting on internal and external finished goods to ensure product availability aligns with customer demand. This role involves evaluating current inventory levels, production cycles, and sales forecasts to establish reorder points. The analyst will also manage the disposition of at-risk inventory and oversee the liquidation of outdated stock.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and report on forward coverage levels by analyzing inventory quantities, production, and sales volumes.
- Implement processes to achieve target inventory levels while maintaining service standards.
- Track and report on slow-moving, excess, and waste inventory.
- Manage waste inventory processes, analyze root causes of inventory-related issues, and collaborate with the supply chain team to drive resolutions.
- Ensure proactive waste inventory management processes are in place.
- Analyze and report on inventory targets monthly.
- Coordinate with manufacturing sites and distribution centers to execute inventory transfers that meet fill rates and service objectives.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on finished goods inventory positions, liabilities, and write-offs.
- Oversee the disposition and liquidation of outdated inventory while minimizing cost impacts.
- Collaborate with plants to prioritize addressing non-nettable inventory and report metrics tracking performance against inventory turn goals.
- Identify and analyze opportunities for optimizing the finished goods network.
- Work alongside demand and production planning teams to achieve inventory, distribution, and service goals.
- Develop process improvements to meet departmental objectives.
- Track and report established inventory KPIs and innovate new KPIs as needed.
- Optimize and automate inventory reporting processes, utilizing advanced Excel skills for analytical support.
- Plan and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree; 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Results-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience in data analysis and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technology and database management.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookup.
- Intermediate knowledge of inventory management software (ERP).
- Able to multitask and thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment with shifting demands.
- Excellent written communication skills for reports and presentations.
- Professionalism to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office environment.
FREQUENT: Sitting, neck flexion, fine finger dexterity, light to moderate finger pressure for extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side neck movement, walking, and standing.
OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height, moderate grasping to handle reference materials.
VISION: Ability to see close objects, such as computer screens, for extended periods with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear within the normal audio range with or without correction.
