Job Summary

Think Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare meals and food to meet the specifications of our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Kitchen Management: Properly measure kitchen ingredients and food portions, and ensure that kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, and sanitation requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the kitchen inventory and ensure that supplies are fresh and of high quality.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Use kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers in food preparation, and maintain them in good working condition.
  • Team Leadership: Take charge of kitchen opening, closing, and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef, and lead the kitchen team to achieve our culinary goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Certifications: Currently hold a Food Handling or ServSafe Certification, or be willing to obtain one within 90 days of hiring.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to carry 20 lbs. Fluency in job-related English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Personal Qualities: Commitment to superior customer service, flexibility, creative problem-solving ability, strong initiative, and self-motivation.
