- Organize and manage paperwork for new employees, including background verification.
- Keep hiring managers informed about candidate status and background check results.
- Assist with status changes and adjustments for employees and staffing agency associates.
- Investigate and document employee relations issues and grievances.
- Support the Director of Human Resources in updating policies, procedures, and HR documentation.
- Handle unemployment claims and participate in hearings as necessary.
- Draft offer letters for new hires and promotions.
- Prepare termination and employment verification letters.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the Human Resources Department.
- Manage disciplinary actions and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in conducting annual performance reviews for employees.
- Help in the development and maintenance of job descriptions.
- Prepare and update organizational charts.
- Engage in special projects as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling recruitment and employee information.
- Practice ethical hiring practices.
- Fluently communicate in both Spanish and English.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-6 years of experience as a Human Resources Coordinator in a manufacturing and distribution setting.
- Experience in recruiting for light industrial roles is preferred.
- Knowledge in administering benefits and compensation programs.
- Bilingual in Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and translate effectively.
