HealthPartners is seeking a dedicated part-time Medical Imaging Specialist.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

MANDATORY:
  1. Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  2. Current ARRT registration in Minnesota
  3. Effective verbal and written communication abilities
PREFERRED:
  • Prior experience in a Radiologic Technologist role
  • Membership in MSRT or ASRT
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations. Must possess auditory, visual, and speech capabilities to fulfill job responsibilities. Manual dexterity is essential. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English is required. Some lifting may be necessary. Occasional travel between clinics may be required to execute job duties.

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

Delivering exceptional service is centered on patient care and fostering patient relationships, a responsibility shared by all team members. Collaboration is essential, and all employees are expected to function effectively as part of a team.
  • Conduct high-quality imaging examinations with minimal errors.
  • Ensure superior patient care while collaborating with physicians and colleagues.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Apply professional standards consistently, exercising independent judgment when necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for fellow staff members.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Accountabilities:
  • Comply with Radiology Patient Services Standards.
  • Implement appropriate radiation safety measures to protect patients, staff, and self.
  • Utilize professional standards consistently, exercising independent judgment when necessary.
  • Select appropriate technical parameters and operate equipment safely and accurately, adhering to established quality control protocols.
  • Ensure examination rooms are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Technical Skills:
  • Produce high-quality radiographic images with minimal errors.
  • Exhibit clinical proficiency in delivering care to patients and their families.
  • Adhere to established HealthPartners policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to patients and their families.
  • Accurately document patient information and maintain clinical records.
  • Follow imaging protocols set by the department.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members.
  • Utilize interdisciplinary resources to enhance decision-making.
  • Appropriately address problems, seeking assistance from HealthPartners team members as needed.
  • Employ suitable systems to gather patient information.
Education and Development:
  • Engage in ongoing evaluation of educational effectiveness regarding understanding and application.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, in-services, and educational programs within the HealthPartners system and community.
  • Maintain ARRT registration through required continuing education.
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Act as a role model in enhancing practice and professional conduct.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in taking on additional responsibilities to improve patient care and the overall functioning of the care unit.
  • Support both professional and technical staff.
  • Establish and pursue personal and professional goals that promote individual growth and align with the care unit philosophy and HealthPartners mission.
  • Exhibit problem-solving and assessment abilities.
  • Encourage improvements in practice standards.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal communication and listening skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately while remaining accountable for the safe delivery of care.

  • Act as an advocate for patients.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality.
