POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role involves crafting detailed Numerical Control Programs for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery; orchestrating manufacturing and processing sequences; and revising or updating programs to accommodate engineering modifications or enhance operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

I.
Develop programs for EIA machines, also referred to as EIA/ISO machine programming or G-code
II. Maintain organized documentation with relevant part details
III. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to establish effective work-holding techniques
IV. Modify programs on the production floor utilizing machine-specific programming approaches
V. Prepare and process drawings to facilitate product manufacturing
VI. Manage program and drawing revisions (revision levels, etc.)
VII. Create overlays for part inspection
VIII. Ensure clear communication with production staff to guarantee accurate programming information is shared
IX. Comply with the company Quality Policy and adhere to all relevant Quality Work Instructions and Procedures
X. Perform additional duties as assigned

SKILLS, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Catia V5



EDUCATION:

A high school diploma, equivalent certification, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required. Two-year vocational training is preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2 years of N/C Programming experience along with relevant Machine Shop Experience
* CAD / CAM Software experience is advantageous.
* Preferred - Background in CNC machining
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes pertinent to the aerospace sector
* Capability to program, set up, and operate jobs independently; including fixturing, open setups, and troubleshooting setups
* Advanced skills in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
* Strong ability to read blueprints and a solid understanding of GD&T interpretation and application
* Comprehensive knowledge of G and M codes, with the ability to edit programs as necessary on and off the machine.
* Proficient in mid-level mathematical skills, executed efficiently and accurately
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
* Competent in computer applications
