Job Overview

Position Title: CNC Programmer

Contract Duration: 06 Months

Working Hours: 06:00 AM - 04:30 PM [Lunch Break: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM]


Role Summary:

The CNC Programmer is responsible for crafting detailed numerical control programs tailored for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery. This role involves designing manufacturing sequences and updating programs to align with engineering modifications or to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop programs for EIA machines.
  • Maintain organized documentation with relevant part specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to devise effective work-holding techniques.
  • Edit and refine programs directly on the manufacturing floor using machine-specific programming methods.
  • Prepare and process technical drawings to support product manufacturing.
  • Manage program and drawing revisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Create overlays for part inspections.
  • Maintain clear communication with production staff to ensure precise programming information is conveyed.
  • Adhere to the company's Quality Policy and follow all relevant Quality Work Instructions and Procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational Background:

• High school diploma, equivalent certification, or bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.

• A two-year vocational training is preferred.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in N/C programming along with relevant machine shop experience.

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is advantageous.

• A background in CNC machining is preferred.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in the aerospace sector.

• Ability to independently program, set up, and operate jobs, including fixturing and troubleshooting setups.

• Proficient in using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

• Strong skills in blueprint reading and a solid grasp of GD&T interpretation and application.

• In-depth knowledge of G and M codes, with the ability to edit programs as necessary.

• Competence in performing mid-level mathematical calculations accurately.

• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in various computer applications.
