Job Title: Account Manager

At Dakota Fluid Power, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding existing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase sales of components, systems, and service capabilities within target accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new markets and customers to drive business growth.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, engineering, purchasing, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Utilize the 5 stages of the sales process methodology to prospect, qualify, propose product/service plans, and facilitate positive decisions.
  • Manage and utilize key tools, such as pipeline, open order reports, and driving logs, to track sales performance and customer interactions.
  • Recognize and promote DFP Division products and solutions to current and new customers.
  • Ensure order accuracy and timelines of completion to customer satisfaction, and apprise supervisor of critical customer satisfaction issues.
  • Attend and participate in vendor and DFP training and sales meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer information, including contacts, project files, competition, and other relevant data.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Fluid Power Sales, with Fluid Power Certification preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic product knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, and filtration.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
