Role Overview:
The Retail Operations Leader is responsible for steering the service, sales, and styling initiatives to create an engaging and inspiring shopping atmosphere. This role encompasses the development of team members, collaboration with essential partners, and support for operational and visual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement

  • Models exceptional service to ensure all customers feel welcomed, acknowledged, and valued; empowers the team to enhance sales and performance metrics by leveraging key performance indicators to establish team and zoning objectives.
  • Educates the team on delivering a seamless customer experience through the use of technology for transactions, upselling, and personalized service.
  • Equips associates with the necessary tools to provide a superior shopping experience by fostering connections and creating tailored service and styling opportunities.
  • Assists in organizing events and experiences that resonate with the local clientele and community, thereby enhancing brand engagement.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Manages the training, growth, and accountability of the Customer Experience Management program, fostering a culture that emphasizes service and sales.
  • Champions the styling initiative by empowering team members to build relationships, generate new business, and mentor peers.
  • Collaborates with management to identify and recruit external talent, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to the team; invests in internal employee engagement to maintain a diverse workforce and promote internal advancement.
  • Utilizes brand resources to support employee development and initiatives such as recognition programs and team-building activities.

Visual Merchandising and Operational Excellence

  • Contributes to evaluating sales forecasts to effectively schedule staff and optimize peak selling periods through team initiatives, while using company tools to identify merchandising opportunities.
  • Actively participates in store operations including opening and closing procedures, restocking, maintaining standards, cleanliness, IT and facilities management, and loss prevention efforts.
  • Oversees product flow processes including receipt, processing, security tagging, and preparation for floor placement; ensures adherence to organizational standards.

Communication and Relationship Building

  • Promotes an inclusive atmosphere by amplifying diverse voices and advocating for varied perspectives.
  • Facilitates the exchange of product knowledge, current trends, brand messaging, and store priorities through regular team interactions.
  • Establishes individual sales targets and expectations to foster a collaborative selling environment.
  • Provides insights regarding customer and staff experiences, relaying feedback to management.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the brand.
  • Minimum of 2 years in retail leadership roles.
  • Strong merchandising acumen with a proven track record of achieving financial results.
  • Demonstrated ability to nurture and develop talent.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet store needs.
