Position Overview

This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing processes through effective technical support. The individual will be responsible for maintaining production systems and minimizing downtime, thus enhancing overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the reduction of equipment and tooling downtime by applying analytical techniques.
  • Oversee and improve production communication systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Ensure the availability of backup hardware and software for critical production systems.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives such as Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) and Six Sigma projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation for production systems and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Document all relevant activities in accordance with company standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure employee well-being.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by management.

Authority Limits

  • Inform management of any situations that could jeopardize product quality, safety, or customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively address any nonconformance issues related to products or processes.
  • Identify and log any product or process-related problems.
  • Recommend and implement solutions through the appropriate channels.
  • Control the processing of nonconforming products until issues are resolved.
  • Initiate requests for quotations (RFQs) with necessary documentation.
  • Negotiate pricing and timelines with vendors for equipment and tooling.
  • Enhance and monitor security systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 1-2 years of college education or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and assembly operations is preferred, but related experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Windows, SQL Server, Office Suite, and networking tools.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
