Job Title: Energy Service Representative

Willdan is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Energy Service Representative to join our team. As an Energy Service Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting and developing new business relationships within your assigned territory, conducting energy assessments, and presenting proposals to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct onsite energy assessments of non-residential buildings to identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Prospect and develop new business relationships within your territory to drive sales growth.
  • Conduct needs analysis to determine the best energy efficiency solutions for customers.
  • Provide information to customers on available utility incentives and program details.
  • Maintain strong ongoing communications with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Track pipeline, maintain Outlook calendar with field appointments, and monitor progress towards program goals.
  • Meet or exceed set proposal and sales objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 or more years of outside sales experience.
  • 2 or more years of lighting experience.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory up to 90% of the time.
  • Ability to learn and present energy efficiency scopes, including lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, and water.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Proven ability to conduct successful cold calls and generate leads.
  • Local working knowledge of assigned territory preferred.
  • Outgoing personality and ability to interact positively with people and provide excellent customer service.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, sales-oriented mentality.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Sound business ethics, including protection of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Proficiency with technology, including use of iPad and MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
