Position Summary

ENERGYRE LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Project Developer to enhance our innovative Development team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Development, the Project Developer will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the various phases of renewable energy project development, which includes wind, solar, and energy storage projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in stakeholder relations, community involvement, project management, and adherence to regulatory standards, all contributing to the successful realization of ENERGYRE's sustainable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the complete lifecycle of renewable energy projects, focusing on wind, solar, and storage solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure effective project development aligned with ENERGYRE's strategic objectives.
  • Lead community outreach initiatives to secure local support for renewable energy projects, fostering positive interactions and addressing any community concerns.
  • Work closely with legal counsel to negotiate agreements with landowners and local authorities, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project layouts and data to ensure accuracy and completeness, making necessary adjustments to enhance project outcomes.
  • Track transmission and interconnection studies relevant to ongoing and prospective projects, adjusting development strategies as required.
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies on permitting processes, ensuring compliance and timely project approvals.
  • Manage vendor contracts and oversee payments and activities related to development projects, ensuring quality service delivery within budget constraints.
  • Evaluate early to late-stage M&A opportunities, providing insights that contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing project information and supporting negotiations for upcoming Requests for Proposals (RFPs), maximizing project opportunities.
  • Maintain and update project budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with financial goals and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with various departments and team members to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of project-related activities.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and updates for executive leadership, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and developments.
  • Engage in local community outreach activities, representing ENERGYRE and fostering positive stakeholder engagement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Development, contributing to the overall success of ENERGYRE's projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a proven history of successful project execution.

Essential Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to renewable energy development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to review project data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and budget oversight within project development contexts.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits and community engagement activities.

Physical Demands

The Project Developer may be required to perform the following physical activities:

  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods, either standing or sitting.
  • Move about to accomplish tasks or transition between worksites.
  • Adjust or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds in various directions.
  • Engage in repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Possibly navigate uneven terrain, drive vehicles, and walk long distances outdoors.
