Role Summary

The Human Resources Manager will play a crucial role in supporting HR functions to meet strategic, tactical, and operational objectives. This position serves as a champion for the fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures, working closely with Labor Relations to establish trustworthy relationships with leadership. The ideal candidate will possess experience in negotiating union contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide objective guidance to management and assist with on-site investigations as the HR expert. Offer counsel on accountability levels and ensure timely documentation administration.
  • Build partnerships across the HR spectrum to enhance collaboration, productivity, and provide a secure environment for both management and associates.
  • Actively participate in managerial meetings to elevate HR visibility, conduct training sessions, and offer guidance on HR-related matters aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop solutions in collaboration with Field HR Consultants and/or HR Service Centers.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, directing complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Promote Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, focusing on recruitment, retention, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance workplace relationships, boost morale, and improve productivity and retention rates.
  • Encourage learning and development programs that provide internal growth opportunities in conjunction with the Talent Development team.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, international hiring, retention strategies, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in union contract negotiations is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proactive approach.
  • Exhibit integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills with all organizational levels, both written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 3 to 5 years in HR roles.
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks, organizing effectively, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills with management and associates, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, policies, and procedures.
  • HR certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and on a computer.
  • Must be capable of navigating various locations as required.
