Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Grand Forks Public School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Speech and Language Interventions: Provide individualized speech and language interventions to students with communication disorders.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' communication needs.
  • Development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Create and implement IEPs to address students' communication goals.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor students' progress and report to parents and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • North Dakota Teaching License: Hold a valid North Dakota teaching license in Speech Pathology.
  • Clinical Fellowship Year Supervision: Be eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year supervision.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Special Education Compliance: Have knowledge of special education compliance requirements.
Work Environment

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a school setting, providing services to students with communication disorders. The successful candidate will be required to sit for extended periods, walk, and stand. The ability to hear and see effectively is essential for this role.
