Regional Grants Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Grants Manager to lead our team of grant officers in reviewing and approving global, district, and disaster response grants. The successful candidate will have a strong background in international relations, non-profit management, or a related field, and will be responsible for shaping Rotary's grant making strategy and managing a grant portfolio of approximately $20M per year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a high-performing team of 5-7 regional grants officers responsible for reviewing and approving global, district, and disaster response grants of approximately $20-30 million per year.
* Ensure accountability of work performed by Regional Grant Officers through regular audits of grant files.
* Educate and train Rotarians and staff in designing and implementing effective grant projects through written communications, telephone/Zoom calls, and webinars.
* Responsible for interpreting and applying grant guidelines for grant officers and members, and for updating and enhancing grant policies and procedures.
* Collaborate to develop learning resources, presentations, and communications to enhance member understanding of effective grant planning, application processes, and the importance of measurement and impact data.
* Participate in the planning and implementation of virtual and in-person training events.
Requirements:
* BA or BS with relevant international experience.
* Graduate degree in international relations, non-profit management, economic/social development, or public administration.
* 3-5 year experience working in a non-profit grant making or international development.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Understanding of philanthropic issues, including topics related to Rotary's areas of focus.
* Experience working with volunteers in the development and implementation of international grants.
* Advanced performance management skills, including coaching, mentoring, evaluating, and succession planning.
* Experience directly related to the administration of international grant-making programs and strategic planning.
* Proficiency with a second language preferred.
* Knowledge of Rotary grant-making and financial management systems preferred.
