Senior Engineer for MDA Engineering Management

Role Responsibilities:
  • Offer expert engineering guidance to government clients regarding the management of engineering personnel, encompassing recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and recognition.
  • Deliver technical support for engineering contracts, task orders, and inter-agency agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of the engineering workforce to identify skill requirements.
  • Perform gap analyses and provide actionable insights.
  • Advise on resource allocation, educational needs, and strategic initiatives to enhance engineering functions.
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and property management.
  • Prepare and present mandatory briefings related to acquisition reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Engage in formal tasking processes as an action officer, ensuring timely completion of staffing processes.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with US government budgeting processes.
  • Proficient in managing large databases and spreadsheets.
  • Experience in developing and executing complex engineering programs.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, applying engineering principles to resolve complex challenges. In-depth understanding of missile defense systems and familiarity with DoD and MDA protocols. Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with various stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft applications and able to manage tasks independently. Willingness to travel as needed.
