Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team in the Fort Belvoir, VA area. As a Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for performing procurement procedures, advising on contract administration, and coordinating performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform procurement procedures for simple and complex procurements, advising on processes related to inspection and acceptance of goods and services.
- Interpret solicitation provisions and contract clauses for vendors and Government officials, providing professional advice and recommendations.
- Coordinate contract administration and performance measurement with the requiring activity.
- Assist the Contracting Officer with contract closeout functions for Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable contracts.
- Interface with the Program Office and Budget Office to verify deliverables and funds expended, initiate contract modification documents, and prepare closeout files.
Requirements
- TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Five years' Contracting experience, DAWIA/FAC-C certification
- Expert knowledge of pre-award simplified acquisition procedures
- Expert knowledge of Standard Procurement System (SPS) PD2
- Expert knowledge of FAR Part 13 procedures, including simplified procedures for certain commercial items
