The Infrastructure Automation Specialist will be instrumental in establishing infrastructure, streamlining deployment processes, and guaranteeing the dependability and scalability of our services. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both remote and on-site collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development and deployment of infrastructure on AWS
  • Automate deployment workflows and ensure the reliability and scalability of services
  • Oversee and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the existing infrastructure
  • Monitor and resolve issues in production systems as needed
  • Continuously enhance processes and tools to ensure optimal availability and performance
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, exploring innovative methods to enhance our infrastructure
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting
  • Expertise in configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and their application in infrastructure management
  • Experience in application and OS deployment, scaling, and management
  • Ability to code in multiple programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Go
  • Knowledge of Git and other development tools, including deployment pipelines
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and standard software development tool suites
  • Must possess a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+ certification)
  • Must hold a Computing Environment certification (AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required
