Position Overview

Summary:

The Senior Director of Human Resources Operations plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the HR department at Strata Solar LLC. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Retirement Planning, HR Information Systems (HRIS), Training, and Policy & Compliance management. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent Management and other essential stakeholders to ensure that HR Operations initiatives align with the overarching HR strategy of the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding employee relations, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) matters, compliance issues, policies, procedures, performance management, and other legal considerations.
  • Oversee the New Hire Orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Implement a holistic approach to leave management aimed at optimizing and enhancing leave administration.
  • Facilitate managerial and compliance training sessions for all staff, utilizing a variety of training methodologies and tools to maximize the effectiveness of these programs.
  • Design, implement, and manage base pay and incentive compensation programs, including the development of compensation philosophy, job classification, job family structures, job pricing criteria, and compensation frameworks.
  • Evaluate and oversee the effectiveness of all employee benefits programs, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Retirement plans.
  • Conduct research and analysis to recommend improvements to existing benefits plans, ensuring cost-effective service enhancements for employees; lead contract negotiations with benefit plan vendors.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to compensation and benefits offerings.
  • Oversee the implementation, execution, and management of HRIS systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations.

Supervisory Duties:

  • This position will supervise teams focused on Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and HRIS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in management and/or operational leadership roles.
  • Thorough understanding of State and Federal employment laws and regulations is essential.
  • HR certifications are advantageous.
