Key Responsibilities- Coordinate clinical office activities, including prioritizing incoming phone calls and advising patients on basic treatment or urging them to seek care in the office or emergency department.
- Provide support to Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Medical Assistants functioning in the Medical Assistant position in the clinical setting.
- Exhibit effective communication and stay current with diseases processes, outbreaks, and any information beneficial for staff.
- Complete required documentation consistent with the system used in the facility and develop and train clinical staff.
- Perform a variety of tasks for patients and providers, including triaging patients, taking patient vitals, obtaining medical information, charting, preparing exam rooms, and other duties as assigned.
- Registered Nurse with license eligible to practice in the state of North Carolina.
- Prefer two years of experience working in a physician's office.
- Ability to work independently, have strong oral skills, good basic math skills, and be computer literate.
- BLS certification maintained.
