Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Project Leader with a minimum of 8 years of experience to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management expertise and technical knowledge necessary to oversee and contribute to a variety of transportation infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Project Management**
- Oversee and manage multiple projects as the Civil Engineering Project Leader, serving as the Technical Lead and Engineer of Record for highway infrastructure initiatives.
- Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure timely completion, technical excellence, and adherence to budget constraints.
- Facilitate project coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Act as the primary contact for clients and agencies to ascertain project requirements and secure necessary approvals.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control for your projects and those of your peers.
- Review the work of colleagues for accuracy and completeness while managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor and manage the schedule and budget performance of assigned projects.

2. **Mentorship and Development**
- Provide direct supervision to assigned staff, fostering their skills and abilities through guidance and mentorship.
- Support the career development of junior professionals by providing constructive feedback and technical guidance.
- Identify technical challenges and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Offer personal guidance on complex projects and serve as a resource for team members.

3. **Business Development**
- Lead the development of technical strategies for project proposals and interviews conducted by clients.
- Prepare proposal documentation, including project scope, budgets, and design methodologies for projects of varying sizes.
- Cultivate positive relationships with existing and potential clients.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with a strong background in civil engineering planning and design.
- Experience in project coordination and management, with the ability to lead teams through all phases of project document production.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal agency coordination for project permits and approvals.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex topics and leading design teams.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, along with proficiency in presentation and interview settings.

Work Environment

This position typically involves working in an office environment with prolonged periods of computer use. Fieldwork may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
