  • Environmental Services
    • Follow established procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
    • Set up and maintain equipment and supplies as needed.
    • Correct any discrepancies or hazards immediately.
    • Complete assigned housekeeping tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Report any uncompleted assignments or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Housekeeping Tasks
    • Clean and maintain all areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and equipment.
    • Keep ceiling and wall vents free of dust.
    • Clean furniture, doors, walls, and horizontal surfaces.
    • Maintain bathrooms in a clean and sanitary condition.
    • Check and refill dispensers as needed.
    • Collect and dispose of sharps containers and medical waste.
  • Trash Removal and Disposal
    • Collect and transport recycling waste to designated storage facilities.
    • Assist in breaking down cardboard boxes.
    • Remove medical waste containers and sharps containers from storage areas.
  • Safe Handling and Disposal of Contaminated Items
    • Handle and dispose of medical waste and sharps according to established protocols.
    • Ensure all trash and linen chute doors are closed and latched.
    • Tie and dispose of trash and linen bags.
  • Bed Management System
    • Work to achieve patient room turnaround within standard time.
    • Anticipate discharges to plan work schedule.
    • Maintain bed management availability data.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six months of customer service-related work experience required.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands

Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds, bend frequently, push and pull work carts, and stand throughout the shift.
