Job Overview:

The Electrical Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing the activities of electrical and instrumentation teams to guarantee that projects are executed efficiently and within the allocated budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the team to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Oversees project execution to confirm completion within set deadlines and financial constraints.
  • Establishes and enforces electrical safety protocols in the workplace.
  • Coordinates daily operations of the electrical division, including task scheduling and crew direction.
  • Facilitates the recruitment and training of electrical personnel.
  • Interprets electrical diagrams, schematics, and specifications to guide installation activities.
  • Engages in business development initiatives to support organizational growth.
  • Develops and manages project schedules, resource allocations, procurement, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Controls expenditures and enhances productivity through the implementation of best practices.
  • Ensures client satisfaction and promptly addresses any issues that arise.
  • Participates in progress meetings as necessary, collaborating with management to oversee financial aspects.
  • Monitors project advancements, identifies potential risks or delays, and applies effective solutions.
  • Determines resource requirements (labor, equipment, and materials) throughout the project lifecycle while adhering to budgetary limits.
  • Sets clear objectives and expectations for electricians, providing guidance for professional growth.
  • Plans all construction activities and schedules phases to ensure timely completion, evaluating progress and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Assesses change orders for assigned projects as needed.
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships within the industry.
  • Participates in and adheres to company safety programs and policies.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an electrical foreman or supervisor.
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful leadership in innovative and productive electrical engineering teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Certification in Standard First Aid/CPR with AED, OSHA 30, and Safeland, with a preference for OSHA 500.
