Blackbeard Operating, LLC is in search of a dedicated Electrical Engineer to oversee and enhance our electrical systems and investments within the energy sector. This role emphasizes hands-on management and supervision of various electrical operations, ensuring optimal execution of projects related to electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the construction and upkeep of diverse facilities, particularly focusing on electrical systems in upstream oil and gas operations, surface development, and midstream projects.

· Maintain and manage electrical infrastructure documentation to ensure accurate system design representation.

· Coordinate the internal transfer of electrical materials and equipment.

· Ensure the correct installation of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs) and other high-capacity machinery, including specialized installations like capacitor banks and reclosers.

· Troubleshoot field operational challenges, identifying issues and implementing effective repairs.

· Conduct power studies and ensure that all repairs and enhancements are thoroughly documented.

· Manage and track electrical inventory, including transformers, panels, and motors.

· Review electrical invoices for precision and maintain comprehensive records of related data.

· Support internal metering allocations and billing processes.

· Perform failure analyses and recommend improvements.

· Assist with special initiatives, including installations for cryptocurrency mining and dedicated primary lines.

· Help manage electrical hedging strategies.

· Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

· A Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Certificate in a relevant field is required.

· A solid understanding of oil and gas industry best practices and safety protocols.

· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a diverse workload.

· Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

· Ability to identify and execute valuable projects with minimal oversight.

· Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

· Proficient in eVIN, Carte, Excel, and WellEZ software.

· Willingness to work flexible hours both in the office and in the field.
