Overview

As a Program Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the integration of surface combat systems within the Naval Education and Training Command.

Eligibility Criteria

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration efforts of surface combat systems and act as the technical authority for engineering teams throughout the design and development phases.
  • Provide expert guidance on training organization equipment and systems tailored for advanced naval vessels.
  • Collaborate with contracting teams as a subject matter expert, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting of contractor performance.
  • Evaluate proposed training systems and devise innovative solutions for unique design and operational challenges.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-departmental projects, assigning tasks, reviewing outputs, resolving conflicts, and preparing reports and proposals.
  • Conduct task analysis for curriculum development, addressing unconventional procedures and creating solutions where precedents are lacking.
Employment Conditions

Qualifications

Your application must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in federal service or comparable experience in the private sector. Specialized experience should include:
  • Managing complex programs with a focus on cost, schedule, performance, and technical aspects.
  • Conducting life-cycle cost analyses and training assessments for ship combat systems.
  • Performing Business Case Analysis (BCA) to evaluate programmatic models for course modernization.
  • Providing technical direction and evaluation of contractor work in engineering analysis and curriculum development.
