Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to support our Naval customers at NSWC Dahlgren.
As a key member of our growing systems & software engineering team, you will contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts. We are looking for individuals who are eager to make a difference and possess excellent communication skills to interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to take direction and operate independently, as well as participate in team environments. While under COVID, remote support is maximized, but you must be available to report to Dahlgren as needed to supplement telecommuting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the program in managing and distributing program data.
- Utilize the program's Configuration Management (CM) database and tools (SharePoint, Jira, and Microsoft Office) to track deliverables through all stages of receipt and delivery.
- Maintain and update program calendars and schedules to include planned test events, reviews, technical meetings, and computer program deliveries.
- Coordinate and execute the movement of data and material, including preparation of documentation (transmittals, DD1149s, and critical mission memos).
- Upload/download data from/to multiple networks or hard drives to facilitate the shipment and receipt of materials and media.
- Pick up and deliver classified materials from the mail room.
- Support the program in the purchasing of materials and equipment.
- Prepare documentation (Quotes, purchase request forms, IPTRs, etc.).
- Track the status of procurements.
- Maintain the current database of GFE (Physical and electronic inventory).
- Produce and maintain SOPs for data management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduate plus 5 years of job-related experience.
- Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite software to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the shipping, receiving, and tracking of test equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain General Operating Procedures for land-based test sites to assure cover to all current and planned future users.
- Demonstrated ability to tailor site and system-specific safety procedures for land-based test sites.
- Demonstrated ability to support Test Site and Laboratory Operations to include tracking system calibration, property/inventory management, and DRMO of excess equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain program calendars and schedules, to include planned test events, reviews, technical meetings, and computer program deliveries.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the preparation of documentation required to support the purchase of materials and/or equipment.
