Key Responsibilities:
As a Cybersecurity Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding critical information systems. Your expertise will be essential in:
- Implementing complex operational software configurations and managing system interfaces.
- Overseeing file servers, firewalls, and security monitoring systems to ensure robust network security.
- Diagnosing and resolving system anomalies to maintain optimal performance.
- Preparing systems for operational use and supporting testing phases.
- Reviewing and updating authorization packages and notifying stakeholders of any changes affecting accreditation.
- Conducting cybersecurity self-inspections and providing technical coordination for authorization packages.
- Identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective countermeasures.
- Ensuring compliance with security policies for information systems and network appliances.
- Administering Video-Teleconferencing systems and providing client support for external information systems.
- Managing account creations, modifications, and deletions across multiple authorization boundaries.
- Conducting help desk activities and troubleshooting issues.
- Performing hardware and software configurations, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Supporting government-issued laptop operations and managing media control activities.
- Handling COMSEC account and equipment management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in related fields, with at least 2 years in Special Access Programs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
- Certifications: IAT Level II or IAM Level II within 6 months of hire.
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI required, with eligibility for Special Access Program Information and willingness to undergo a CI polygraph.
