Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Prepare and present all food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections of all food items entering and exiting the kitchen.
  • Identify and prepare all menu offerings.
  • Familiarity with measuring and weighing ingredients.
  • Utilize various cooking methods including frying, sautéing, baking, and boiling.
  • Set up, dismantle, and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen stations.
  • Ensure the work area is safe and sanitary.
  • Comply with all health and sanitation regulations.
  • Label and store food items according to health guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist in completing daily kitchen tasks.
  • Wear the designated uniform consistently while on duty.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and expedite food for both a la carte and banquet services.
  • Report any food shortages or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain professionalism in interactions with colleagues.
  • Adhere to safety, emergency, and sanitation protocols, reporting any violations.
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Organize deliveries while following proper food storage protocols.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Lead Cook.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Food safety certifications are preferred.
