Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Operations: Supervise a food services program that meets and exceeds the minimum requirements of a Senior Star community, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for residents.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Prepare menus, food products, and serve quality meals in all dining rooms and dining venues, following meal presentation standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that food items are served at the proper time and temperatures, and tastefully garnished, while maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.
  • Inventory Management: Regularly ensure completion of a food and supply inventory, and plan and promote a dietary food services program that incorporates a wide variety of tastes, following menu requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of food service production personnel, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to provide excellent service to residents.
  • Financial Management: Ensure that the department adheres to budget guidelines, and purchases all food, kitchen supplies, and kitchen equipment using diligent and competitive purchasing programs and methods.
Requirements
  • Experience in food service management, preferably in a senior living community.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
