About Us: Puget Sound Pipe & Supply CO is a leading wholesale distributor specializing in pipe, valves, and fittings throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. We are seeking a dedicated individual to become a vital part of our warehouse operations.

Position Overview: The selected candidate will be responsible for the safe and precise handling of materials, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring timely delivery of orders to our clients.

Work Environment: This role requires onsite presence at our branch location. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided.

Compensation: The starting pay for this position ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently pull customer orders throughout the day while accurately documenting each process.
  • Conduct quality checks on all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Inspect items for quality, quantity, and any signs of damage.
  • Utilize a forklift to move materials from storage to staging areas.
  • Package, box, and palletize materials for inventory or customer orders.
  • Label packed materials with destination information and necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records on sales orders, purchase orders, and transfers.
  • Keep the workspace organized and clean by managing materials on shelves and ensuring floors are swept.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds of materials consistently throughout the day.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with order picking processes is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial and industrial pipe, valves, and fittings is a plus.
  • A clean driving record and a medical card are highly desirable.
  • Experience with RF technology is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must pass a background check.
