Job Overview

SHIFT AVAILABLE:

4-3 Schedule 6p-6a: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday alternating

COMPENSATION:

Starting at $ (based on skill set)

Key Responsibilities
  • Ink Technicians are responsible for the following:
  • Setting up jobs for batch ink mixing
  • Creating color standards for the ink room
  • Managing the return, storage, and usage of press-returned inks
  • Formulating color matches for customer proofs
  • Color matching at the press site
  • Mixing adhesives and coatings
  • Conducting computerized color control
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the ink room and dispensing system using 6S principles
  • Operating solvent distillation equipment
  • Assisting with inventory management of raw materials
  • Supporting Press Assistants & Operators during changeovers as time allows
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience in effective color matching, color theory, and spectrophotometry
  • Experience with press-side ink and color troubleshooting
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of metric conversions
  • Ability to accurately perceive color is essential
  • Prior experience with ink, lamination, and adhesive handling required
  • Preferred experience in analytical result evaluation
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues affecting product quality, aesthetics, or contamination
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
