Position Overview

The Power Transformer Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and development of electrical systems for power transformers. This position involves driving design innovations and optimizing end products while adhering to industry standards and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute electrical design calculations for power transformers, ensuring compliance with established specifications and performance criteria.
- Analyze and design transformer parameters, including losses, impedances, noise levels, and thermal limits, to meet customer requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including technical reports and design review materials, to facilitate clear communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, mechanical design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to address technical challenges related to electrical design.
- Develop technical specifications for components such as tap changers, bushings, and winding conductors, ensuring accurate procurement and integration.
- Estimate quantities for proposals and prepare user documentation, engaging in technical discussions with clients during the proposal and execution phases.
- Contribute to the enhancement of product designs by collaborating with other manufacturing facilities.
- Participate in technical forums and maintain effective communication across various teams.
- Support the development of global design standards and contribute to research and development initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of five years of experience in electrical design within the power transformer sector, with proficiency in transformer design software.
- Strong understanding of transformer calculations and design principles.
- Familiarity with American and international standards related to transformers and their components.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD software, with experience in electromagnetic simulation being advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of transformer materials and components, including core grades and winding insulation.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Self-driven with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within set timelines.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers.
- Preferred experience with SAP systems.
