Your Role:

As a key member of our Domestic sales team, you will be instrumental in managing the transportation of goods across various cities. You will engage in a cradle-to-grave approach, overseeing your accounts from inception to completion. This role involves reaching out to potential clients through cold calls, evaluating domestic transportation routes, coordinating with carriers to check availability, and booking shipments. You will take full ownership of your accounts, ensuring a seamless process for every freight movement across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop lead lists utilizing resources such as Panjiva, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce.
  • Identify and reach out to prospective clients through cold calling and email campaigns.
  • Analyze market rates for transportation routes and establish competitive pricing for customer quotes.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and carriers.
  • Coordinate freight bookings, manage scheduling for pickups and deliveries, and oversee shipments from start to finish.
  • Exhibit empathy towards customer needs and translate those into effective, value-oriented solutions.
  • Collaborate with various departments within Steam Logistics.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in logistics or sales is advantageous but not mandatory – we value your drive.
  • Creativity, originality, and enthusiasm are essential – we appreciate your individuality.
  • A willingness to learn is crucial – we are eager to educate you about the supply chain.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary – we seek a service-oriented mindset.
What We Provide:
  • A collaborative and dedicated team environment where every idea is valued.
  • A competitive salary structure with uncapped commission opportunities – your success directly impacts your earnings.
  • Clear pathways for personal and professional development.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and a 401k match.
  • A generous leave policy to support our employees' well-being.
